Bowstring and Cable Health

Why wax your string and cables?

Strings and cables that do not get a regular waxing will begin to wear and weaken.  Regular waxing will help keep the string and cables in good health and will prolong string life.

A bow is simple to maintain, as long as you follow a sound routine.  The bowstring and cables are components that need regular attention.  With today’s expensive bowstrings and cables, if you do not properly maintain them, it may just cost you.  With a little attention and time, you can save your self money and headaches to avoid replacing them.  A regular application of FastWax 350+ to the bowstring, cables and serving will prolong the life of those expensive strings and cables, and keep them in good health.

You need to wax your bow components regularly.  The last thing you want is a worn string or cable that needs replacing.  This will require having to do a complete set up again on your bow.  Or worse yet, having a bow explode in your face, hurting you, others and/or damaging your equipment.

How to Apply

1. Inspect your bowstring and cables for signs of wear in the form of discoloration or fraying.

2. Make sure you string is clean. No foreign matter on the string.

3. Apply FastWax 350+ liberally to bowstring and cables.

4. Once FastWax 350+ is applied, lightly work it in with your fingers or use a small piece of paper or leather and run up and down the string and cables working the wax into the thread.

**** WARNING ****

Never, Never Use A Hairdryer. You run the risk of damaging the new string and cables materials.

5. You are done.

Tip: Always inspect you bow before shooting.
